You Go, Girl

Last Sunday, Sugar had an inspiration.

She thought of a really cool idea for a Sunday School Lesson. She shared her idea with the right man.

This is Mr. F.
He teaches 3rd-5th grade Sunday School at our church. Mr. F. is a wonderful, godly man who really loves the kids he works with. He is wise and gentle. (He also happens to be an awesome notary public, who signs adoption papers at all hours of the day and night, who goes above and beyond the call of duty in whatever he does --- but I digress.)

Mr. F. said to Sugar, "That's a really great idea. Do you want to teach it next Sunday?"

Did I mention that Mr. F. is wise?

Sugar came bouncing up to me after Sunday School last week so full of excitement that she could barely contain herself. She took her job seriously and worked with a friend on the lesson. All week, she considered what she wanted to teach. Saturday, we sat down and finalized the lesson plan.

Sunday morning, Sugar gathered her Bible, materials and lesson plan.

Let it be noted that we were ACTUALLY EARLY getting to church. :-)

The lesson went very smoothly. Sugar did a great job!

Here is an action shot of her actually teaching.

I cannot tell you how proud I am of this girl. My heart is just bursting with joy. She has always been willing to step out for the Truth, but this was a huge leap of faith for her.

Her lesson was on Romans 12:2 and it involved play-doh.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

I'm already seeing a transformation.

Blessings to you,
Mamita

I agree with the title, YOU GO GIRL! Right when I read this post, the verse from 1 Timothy 4:12 came to my head, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity."
Way to go girl!!!!

WOO Hoo - I was just the 10,000 hit on your site...Of course, I kind of cheated and wanted so bad for your counter to be at 10K that I sat at 9992 and hit it a few times...ok - 8 to be exact but what person wouldn't do that when you are SO close to a milestone!!!

I even tried to take a print screen of it but of course I don't know how that works on this laptop of mine so I probably can't do anything with it.

Way to go Sugar!!!
