Five Minute Friday: If You Met Me

It's time for Five Minute Friday!

Lisa-Jo invites her readers to write for 5 minutes. Don't edit. Just write. Then link up to her blog.

Today's writing prompt is:

If you met me...

At first glance, you might see a lumpy, middle-aged woman with thin dirty-dishwater blonde hair.

But if you really looked at me, you would see warm welcoming eyes. You would see a depth of pain pouring from my expression. You would see a woman who knows deep, joyful love. You would see a heart of compassion. You would see the smile of a shamed person that was forgiven. I hope you would see Jesus in my face, because that is Who I hope to reflect.

Blessings to you,
Mamita

Stopping by from 5 minute Friday. I hope others see warm welcoming eyes when they meet me too but sometimes I wonder if tired eyes are all I'm sending! Have a wonderful weekend. : )

Thanks for stopping by my 5 mins...I came on over to check out yours. I plan to return to read more about your older child adoption. My husband and I are very interested in adoption, and we would probably adopt an older child from his home country, El Salvador. But I have one complaint about your 5 mins...I looked at your pictures...and looked and looked some more and I did not find a lumpy woman anywhere! Your family is beautiful!

I would see one of the kindest, best people I've never met but love. :)

Just found you after your comment on my blog, www.mamainthemiddle.com. Thanks for visiting me there. Have you seen Reeces Rainbow? Those are the faces that keep me up at night. Three of my friends are adopting special needs kids and saving them from a life in an adult mental institution in a third world country. My passion right now is to help them raise funds.

Mama when I look at you, I see a Godly woman, who I am proud to call one of my best friends. You and your family were some of the first to welcome us at church.

When I look at you I see a Mama who loves her kids and wants nothing more than to see them, as well as those she meets, to know her Jesus. I am blessed to call you friend.

Pain and joyful love...two different, opposite emotions that maturity handles well. ;)
